GRANDFATHER DISOWNS DAUGHTER AFTER DAUGHTER DISOWNS GAY SON

Most of us know family can be the hardest to come out to, and it is even harder when the reaction is not the one you want.

And when a parent is as heartless to throw a gay child out onto the streets, that son or daughter is often alone and homeless.

But in the case of one teen called Chad, his grandfather could not believe his daughter Christine could disown her child.

‘You’re correct that we have a “shame in the family”, but are mistaken about who it is,’ he says.

In an incredible letter, he tells her Chad did not make the choice to be gay, but she had the choice of being ‘narrow-minded’.
