DOUG LOCKE DEBUTS '#THISCOULDBEUS' VIDEO

#ThisCouldBeUs... But you playin'.

This viral (and hilarious) Internet meme takes on a whole new meaning in Doug Locke's new song and video, titled #ThisCouldBeUs. In this touching video Locke's character reconnects with a long lost love, while simultaneously reliving the days of their youth together.

"We all have those former loves that, while life may have lead us in different directions, we find ourselves reminiscing over, daydreaming about what could have been," Locke said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "I'm a firm believer that once you give a person a piece of your heart, you never truly get it back."

Check out the video for #ThisCouldBeUs above. Want to see more from Locke? Head here.

THIS WEEKEND'S BOX-OFFICE: 3/28/2014

This weekend, Noah opens as March comes to a close will you look for a spot on the ark this weekend?

PROS:

- Darren Aronofsky's directorial star has risen since his success with Black Swan.
- The Biblical tale should appeal well to religious audiences.
- The film's recognizable cast, led by Russell Crowe, increases its mainstream potential.
- Twitter and Flixster buzz are healthy.

CONS:

- Aronofsky himself won't be much of a draw.
- The controversy preceding the film's production could hinder demand just as easily as it could boost audience curiosity.
- Crowe hasn't driven a major box office success in years.

- Facebook activity leaves something to be desired, trailing Son of God at the same point.

BeBe ZAHARA BENET, 'RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE' QUEEN RELEASES 'FACE'

The first winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race," Bebe Zahara Benet, undoubtedly left his mark on the show when he snatched the crown from Nina Flowers in the final lip-sync of season one.
Now, the queen is back with a new video for his track "Face" -- and who knew this queen had so many looks! With so many high-profile queens releasing music videos these days, "Face" certainly holds its own within the body of work released by the "Drag Race" competitors.
Check out the video above.

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: TEAM BY LORDE

Lorde's "Team" is the official second US single from the New Zealand-born singer's debut album "Pure Heroine". On an interview with Billboard, Lorde commented of the song that there are lyrics where she feels like the 'realistic' pop star, and others that show her unique songwriting, going back to write for her and her friends.
When I listen to Team, I hear a call for compassion. It’s a call for the oppressor and the oppressed to join one another on level ground, to stand together rather than exist in a power-over, power-under dynamic. Whether you’re a greedy dictator, a violent abuser, or the bully at the playground, Team is about recognizing we’re all on equal playing field.

Wait 'til you’re announced
We’ve not yet lost all our graces
The hounds will stay in chains
Look upon your greatness
That you’ll send
The call I'll send

Call all the ladies out
They’re in their finery
A hundreds jewels on throats
A hundred jewels between teeth
Now bring my boys in
Their skin in craters like the moon
The moon we love like a brother, while he glows through the room

Dancin' around the lies we tell
Dancin' around big eyes as well
Even the comatose they don’t dance and tell
[Chorus]
We live in cities you'll never see on screen
Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run free
Living in ruins of the palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team

I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air,
so there
So all the cups got broke shards beneath our feet but it wasn’t my fault
And everyone’s competing for a love they won't receive
'Cause what this palace wants is release

[Chorus]
We live in cities you'll never see on screen
Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run free
Living in ruins of the palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team

I’m kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air
So there
I’m kinda older than I was when I revelled without a care
So there

[Chorus]
We live in cities you'll never see on screen
Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run free
Living in ruins of the palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team

We're on each other's team
And you know, we're on each other's team
We're on each other's team

And you know, and you know, and you know

SOLID GOLD: GAGA AND CHRISTINA'S STUNNING '70S-ERA VERSION OF 'DO WHAT U WANT'

So this happened… Lady Gaga appeared on The Voice finale to perform a far superior version of her R. Kelly duet  “Do What U Want” off of Artpop.

Lady Christina Aguilera filled in for R. Kelly in a breathtaking spectacle that could only be described as a Cristal-fueled, 70s-era lesbian fever dream that took place in the ladies room of Studio 54, and we loved every minute of it! All it was missing was Amy Adams’ and Jennifer Lawrence’s wonderfully messy American Hustle characters to turn up and join Gaga and Xtina in a make-out session on that little divan.

Seriously, this performance is a thing of beauty and if the performance weren’t enough, Christina and Gaga had a little mutual praise love fest following their duet.

Watch below.

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: SAY SOMETHING BY A GREAT BIT WORLD FEATURING CHRISTIAN AGUILERA

Christina Aguilera pours her heart out in the music video for "Say Something", A Great Big World's first single from their upcoming debut album "Is There Anybody Out There?" (January 2014) which they have transformed from its original solo version to a duet with the "Genie In A Bottle" pop star.

Such a beautiful piano ballad. It's so tranquil, and although the lyrics are kind of sad, it gives me hope.

Thoughts?

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: LET HER GO BY PASSENGER

The song give you a lot to think about and given that it is Thanksgiving in America is there any other song out there now that asks you to be thankful for what you?

Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go

Staring at the bottom of your glass
Hoping one day you'll make a dream last
But dreams come slow and they go so fast
You see her when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you'll understand why
Everything you touch, oh it dies

But you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
Staring at the ceiling in the dark
Same old empty feeling in your heart
'Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast
Well you see her when you fall asleep
But never to touch and never to keep
'Cause you loved her too much and you dive too deep

Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go
Oh oh oh no
And you let her go
Oh oh oh no
Well you let her go

'Cause you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go

'Cause you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go

And you let her go

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: WAKE ME UP BY AVICII

Avicii's "Wake Me Up" featuring the vocals by Aloe Blacc looks to be the summer anthem in The Netherlands with currently atop on the charts. Listen and be prepared to dance along in your local club as well. The country-dance fusion track "Wake Me Up" became a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart in the USA. "Wake Me Up!" by Avicii is listed #5 in the Hot 100 Billboard charts.

Feeling my way through the darkness
Guided by a beating heart
I can't tell where the journey will end
But I know where to start
They tell me I'm too young to understand
They say I'm caught up in a dream
Well life will pass me by if I don't open up my eyes
Well that's fine by me

So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
[x2]

I tried carrying the weight of the world
But I only have two hands
I hope I get the chance to travel the world
And I don't have any plans
I wish that I could stay forever this young
Not afraid to close my eyes
Life's a game made for everyone
And love is a prize

So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
[x2]

I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: COUNTING STARS BY ONE REPUBLIC

Today’s Monday Morning Melody is One Republics profound and thought-provoking track, “Counting Stars.” So plug in your earphones, close your eyes, and listen closely to the lyrics. Leave a comment and let me know what thoughts come up for you.

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars, yeah we'll be counting stars

I see this life like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
And my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and you shall find
Old, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so right
Doing the wrong thing
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, coudn't I, could lie
Everything that kills me makes me feel alive

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be counting stars

I feel the love and I feel it burn
Down this river, every turn
Hope is a four-letter word
Make that money, watch it burn
Old, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, could lie, could lie
Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be counting stars

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Everything that kills me makes feel alive

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be, counting stars

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

MONDAY MUSICAL MELODY: ROYALS BY LORDE

Ella Yelich-O’Connor, better known by her stage name Lorde, is jut 16 years old but she packs a voice like a timeless diva. She hails from Auckland, New Zealand, and at the ripe old age of 13 was spotted and signed to Universal.

The Love Club is her first EP, released March of this year, and people are already losing their minds over this teenage sensation. “Royals,” Lorde’s hit single, reached number 1 on New Zealand’s Top 40 that same month, and the EP ranked second on the top albums chart. Meanwhile, Yelich-O’Connor has entered Year 12 at Takapuna Grammar School in Auckland and is, ostensibly, spending her days much like any other 16-year-old girl. Remarkable, eh?

[Verse 1]
I've never seen a diamond in the flesh
I cut my teeth on wedding rings in the movies
And I'm not proud of my address,
In the torn-up town, no post code envy

But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving Cadillacs in our dreams.
But everybody's like crystal, Maybach, diamonds on your time piece.
Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash.
We don't care, we aren't caught up in your love affair.

And we'll never be royals (royals).
It don't run in our blood,
That kind of lux just ain't for us.
We crave a different kind of buzz.
Let me be your ruler (ruler),
You can call me queen Bee
And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule.
Let me live that fantasy.

My friends and I – we've cracked the code.
We count our dollars on the train to the party.
And everyone who knows us knows that we're fine with this,
We didn't come for money.

But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom.
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving Cadillacs in our dreams.
But everybody's like crystal, Maybach, diamonds on your time piece.
Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash
We don't care we aren't caught up in your love affair

And we'll never be royals (royals).
It don't run in our blood
That kind of lux just ain't for us
We crave a different kind of buzz.
Let me be your ruler (ruler),
You can call me queen Bee
And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule.
Let me live that fantasy.

Oooh ooooh ohhh
We're bigger than we ever dreamed,
And I'm in love with being queen.
Oooooh ooooh ohhhhh
Life is game without a care
We aren't caught up in your love affair.

And we'll never be royals (royals).
It don't run in our blood
That kind of lux just ain't for us
We crave a different kind of buzz
Let me be your ruler (ruler),
You can call me queen Bee
And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule.
Let me live that fantasy.

MONDAY MUSICAL MOTIVATION: STAY BY STEVE GRAND

Steve Grand released "STAY", the follow-up single to his YouTube hit, "All-American Boy" - and I like it a lot. It's a fun, catchy, "summer-lovin' had me a blast" tune, and the video features the fine physique of Mr. Grand (and a few other guys) and some pleasant scenes of cute boys in love.
Grand's gay-themed All-American Boy became an instant YouTube hit when it was released on July 2, topping out at 1 million views just 8 days after its release, turning Grand into an overnight Internet celebrity.
Stay starts off slow with Grand's character walking alone along Chicago's lake shore. But soon he's in the back of a red pickup truck filled with bright young faces. His eyes linger on another young man. And when the truck reaches its destination, their hands touch as they each reach for a cooler.

Then they all jump into lake Michigan.

“You know, my old man's out of town for a couple days; I think that you should stay,” Grand sings as the pair share a kiss on a bench, giving Grand the happy ending that All-American Boy was missing.

TODAY IS SUMMER LEISURE DAY!
