HALLMARK RELEASES ITS FIRST ANIMATED FATHERS DAY E-CARD FOR GAY DADS
Hallmark Cards has released a gay dads themed e-card just in time for Fathers Day this year as part of a new Spectrum collection of e-cards featuring same-sex couples.
People who were raised by same-sex male couples will be able to use an e-card tailor made for them this Fathers Day as the Hallmark Cards company has released a new gay and lesbian collection of e-cards.
The Spectrum collection of animated e-cards was designed by transgender artist Kylie Wu and one of them, titled ‘I’ll Take Two,’ shows a girl shopping for Fathers Day gifts and buying two of each gift which she then gives to her gay dads.
The e-card finishes with the slogan ‘The greatest dad in the world – I’ve got two!’

Other e-cards in the series feature a gay couple watching a movie on a laptop in bed, and camping together, and a lesbian couple surfing together, and riding a scooter together while they take a trip.
‘I’m so proud to be the artist involved in making the first ever same-sex Hallmark eCard featuring two gay dads,’ Wu said of Hallmark’s decision to feature her animations on the e-cards.
‘And I’m proud of Hallmark for celebrating people’s differences! It doesn’t matter who’s in it, love makes a family.’
