TO GAY MEN WHO THINK THEY'LL BE FOREVER ALONE

A friend once told me the only kind of gay men I attracted were lost boys that needed someone to look after them. For years, my “type” of men didn’t exist. I made them up in my head. My ideal mate was only inside fairy tales or black and white movies, until one day I woke up. Like everything else in my life, I had tried to control fate – that which is impossible to control; I tried to veer my destiny towards the direction I wanted; I denied myself to look past anyone who didn’t fit my criteria; I blamed myself for being single; and I thought something was wrong with me. I realized I wasn’t my problem. It was the lack of compassion I had for myself that kept me from seeing the forest through the trees. Let me explain.

Being single didn’t mean I was “alone.” I was waiting for an ideal mate to enter my life, but I didn’t see it this way at the time. The more I complained, cursed myself, thought I was incomplete, thought I wasn’t worthy of love, assumed no one paid attention to me because I was fractured or inadequate, the more I started to mold myself around that idea. After countless hours of reflecting, I realized I wasn’t inadequate for them. I was inadequate for myself.

I didn’t like myself therefore I gave no one an opportunity to like me. It was then I realized if I didn’t change this mindset I would be forever alone, for how can I let anyone into my life if I was subconsciously pushing them all away?

I wanted so desperately to have a taste of what it was like. I was 26, a workaholic, had lots of friends (all platonic), and had never been in a real relationship. I didn’t handle rejection well and I was well aware of my cynicism towards gay men. Everyone who showed interest was never good enough. When the potential of love came into my life I should have welcomed it, but instead I distanced myself. If it were anyone else, I would have called him or her crazy. When someone great comes along you’d think a healthy person would see it as a good thing; unfortunately, I saw it as a reminder of what I can’t have – again, a symptom of not liking myself.

Most gay men are cynical about love, but whenever they entered a relationship they disappeared off the radar never to be seen again. Collectively, this only fueled my insecurities. If you’re a man who chooses to look at the bad more than the good, refuses to humor the idea that you deserve happiness, and has made up your mind that love, in fact, doesn’t exist, this is the roadmap you are unconsciously creating for yourself and you will have no choice but to follow it until you decide to change it.
Falling in love takes a bit of naivety. It’s not practical, i.e. something you can plan out like a vacation, a weekend, or a workout schedule. In many ways it requires both people to let their guard down, to enter it thoughtless, even carelessly. But because we’re trained to overthink, overanalyze, and underestimate, we become victims of our own intellect. Before we know it, we’re too busy feeling with our heads when we should be feeling with our hearts.

The trick is attitude, a mature way of making sense of rejection, and a strong sense of self. You are not your parents (that was a big epiphany for me). You are YOU. Everyone deserves to be loved, but being loved is the aftereffect of giving love. When you love, you receive it in return; if you don’t, you will welcome that as well.

Listen to me carefully. You deserve to be happy. Who said a relationship was a requirement for that? The years of being single are the ones we treasure most in the long run. They’re all about figuring out our place in the world, getting to know who and what we can handle, and deciphering our character. Singlehood is precious, but you will always get what you put into it. Stop fighting it, and at least humor the idea of being happy first and foremost. When there’s an overload of that, you’ll be surprised how many guys show up at your door wanting to get a piece of it.

GAP PARTNERS WITH GLAAD, SHARING LGBT EMPLOYEES' STORIES FOR 'GOT YOUR BACK' PRIDE MONTH CAMPAIGN

Thirteen Gap employees share their coming out stories in a powerful new video for GLAAD's #GotYourBack campaign.

The video, released June 1, is the latest installment in the ongoing GLAAD effort, which aims to encourage allies to speak out in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community throughout Pride Month.

Paul Tew of Gap Inc.'s GEAR (Gay Employees, Allies and Resources) said the project was in line with his corporation's belief that "lifting voices out of isolation -- and vocalizing support -- is a critical step in achieving equality."

"As a global company, it's important to us that all of our employees and customers feel this support, from a local colleague to a Gap associate across the world," he told The Huffington Post in an email statement.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis echoed those sentiments, noting, "From classrooms to board rooms, locker rooms to living rooms, it's critical that allies take an active role in accelerating acceptance of their LGBT friends, family and neighbors."

She then added, "By sharing the moving stories of LGBT employees, Gap Inc. is sending an important message about the power of love and acceptance."

Previously, Gap encouraged employees and customers to share messages of acceptance on social media with the #GotYourBack hashtag in the wake of Indiana'sReligious Freedom Restoration Act, which many interpreted to provide legal protections for business owners to cite religious beliefs in turning away LGBT customers.

TOSSED MY SALAD LIKE HIS NAME ROMAINE...5 ASS EATING TECHNIQUES TO MAKE HIM MOAN

Ass is the uncharted frontier. Many have spread it open. Several have plunged to its depths. Others have explored its vast and far reaching walls. But still many have not fully come to comprehend it’s wonders. The obstacle many of us fall into when figuring out a particular ass is we neglect to tell those seeking to explore us exactly how to treat our golden, chocolate, caramel, or cream-colored hills. That could be an attribute of not truly understanding our asses. We’ll gladly say fuck it, suck it, or eat it, but we rarely go the extra step of informing our partner on how to do those things. We leave them to their own devices and cross our fingers hoping he (or they) knows what he (or they) is doing.

Go the distance

Before you contemplate a technique, always remember eat it until the ass is juiced, then eat it some more. You always want your works space to be soft and supple. The tighter the boo-gina, the longer you’ll have to churn. The upside about eating it is that it will pay off dividends when it comes to fucking.

The kiss

Why is it that ass, and even pussy, is most often compared to either food or a mouth?  Cakes, lil debbies, bunts, pound, red velvet, cream filling, frosting are all analogies many have used for ass, while the actual asshole is usually referred to as lips that pucker.  Notwithstanding, if we’re going to call it lips, it demands to be kissed.

This kiss method is the process of kissing the ass.  It involves a deep tongue dive followed immediately by a smooch.  It doesn’t count unless it makes the “smooch” sound.  Or you can try kissing the sides of the cakes between eating.  The skin around the ass is actually as sensitive, to some, as the ass hole itself.  Eating doesn’t have to be such a linear experience, detour on the cakes, take a rest stop on the crack, or take that left turn at those dimples where the ass meets the back muscles.  Paint your whole workspace with your tongue and wait for the moans—they will inevitably cum.

The chewer

Teeth have few places in the bedroom: nipples (maybe), nibbles during kisses (try it and see), ass eating (huh?)  Try this.  There is a time in the juicing process when the ass is supple and it puckers.  You, the eater, have massaged the anal muscles until not only is it soft, but it winks at you.  Once the ass is winking, try sucking the booty hole until you can cup it gently between your teeth and chew.  Don’t close your teeth completely, just massage the upper and lower of the anus with your teeth as your sucking with your mouth.  The pressure offers the person getting eaten a sensation much like when your dick reaches the back of a deep throat.

The blower

When eating ass, warm and cool sensations are especially welcomed.  Not be confused with warming or cooling lubes, the natural warming and cooling of the mouth does just fine.  When eating, take a break and blow on the ass, then eat, then blow again.  The cool air mixed with your warm tongue make for a longer-lasting, intense sensation.

The tongue fuck

A tongue offers an ass the same feelings of raw sex without many of the risks and pain/pleasure combination.  When you tongue fuck, its like sticking a perfectly shaped member into an ass that is just big enough to feel magnificent, but not nearly long enough to have to do the “go slow” dance.  It’s all the pleasures of a well-lubed dick without many of the pains and considerations.

APPLE'S TIM COOK DONATES $6.56 MILLION TO CHARITY

Apple boss Tim Cook has donated $6.56million (€6million) to an undisclosed charity.

The donation – which took the form of 50,000 Apple shares – came to light on Friday in an SEC (Securities and Exchange) filing.

The donation was executed on Thursday. Cook is obliged to disclose the movement of any shares that he owns but does not have to have to report the recipient’s details, although the filing states that the transaction was a ‘charitable donation’.

It still leaves Cook with over 900,000 Apple shares.

According to NBC, Apple has confirmed the donation but declined to comment further.

In late March, Cook – who came out as gay last October – told Fortune magazine that he intended to give away the bulk of his personal wealth, estimated to be around $1billion (€916million), to charitable causes.

He said at the time, ‘You want to be the pebble in the pond that creates the ripples for change.’

In December, he made a ‘generous’ personal donation to the Human Rights Campaign’s Project One America, which works on promoting LGBT equality in the US South. Cook himself heralds from Alabama – one of the states targeted by HRC’s Project One.

Cook is not the first tech leader to indicate that they plan to give a sizeable chunk of their fortunes to charity. Financier Warren Buffet (who is reported to be worth in excess of $70billion) has been encouraging the super-rich to give away at least half of their worth in their lifetimes. His ‘Giving Pledge’ has been taken up by Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.

FREEFALL SEASON 2 - EPISODE 222 (FINALE)

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE: SEASON 7 - GRAND FINALE

After weeks of intense competition, gaff-pounding lip syncs and (some might say too many) group acting challenges, Mama Ru has bestowed the RuPaul's Drag Race season seven crown unto America's next drag superstar.

The winner was revealed on last night's Drag Race, previously filmed with three unique endings, ensuring the winner would be kept under wraps. Then, there was a live crowning at Stage 48 in New York City following the reveal. We had the opportunity to attend the live event and mix it up with the queens.

Find out who took the crown, and read our Q&A with the winner. And the winner is ...

Violet Chachki! That's right. The brash, young queen with the tiny waist and big attitude beat out fellow contestants Ginger Minj and Pearl. Chachki's combination of cutting-edge fashion and dedication to her craft helped her shine throughout the season, even when she was winning the title of shadiest queen.

While there's always going to be someone disappointed, season two and three contestant Shangela shared some perspective. "RuPaul never makes a mistake -- I mean, come on, he brought me back twice, ok?!" she said. "Even if you look at this group and go, 'Well, my favorite's not in there,' know that Ru has the best interest of the craft in mind."

Get to know our new top queen with some thoughts on her experience in her own words:

Towleroad: What surprised you most about watching yourself back?

Violet Chachki: I was actually surprised at how much resting bitch fact I really do have. It’s bad. I really can’t hide my emotions at all. If I’m unhappy, you’re going to know.

TR: Yeah, you wouldn’t win Miss Poker Face.

VC: Oh no, no. I have a horrible poker face! It’s awful!

TR: What are you most proud of from this season?

VC: I think I’m most proud of the growth that I’ve shown, and also the Hello Kitty challenge, because I looked really good.

TR: Your Death Becomes Her look has become iconic. Did you know going in that it was one of your top looks?

VC: I was really excited about it. When I got the list, we had about two weeks to prepare. I went on Craigslist to look for oxygen tanks, and they were so heavy. But you get two bags, 50 pounds each, so I made the oxygen tank out of 1 liter Coke bottles. It’s actually soda bottles and duct tape, that’s what the oxygen tank is made out of. Fun fact. I was so excited about that. For me, it was an obvious choice. I was like, ‘Oh, death by corset,’ because sometimes it really does feel like I could die, and I act like it, too. I didn’t know how far I was going to get as far as reduction goes, but I was training in the hotel room at night. I got down pretty small, so it really did have a big impact.

TR: What do you want your Drag Race legacy to be?

VC: I want my Drag Race legacy to be that I’m a hard worker. I’m dedicated to this art form. That’s really all there is to it. I really just enjoy this art form. I want people to realize that I’m good at what I do, I love what I do and there is a lot of passion behind what I do. It’s the passion and the drive, that’s what I want to leave behind.

TR: What’s your advice for future Drag Race contestants?

VC: I don’t know, gurl. There are honestly no words. I was barely prepared, barely. There is no preparation, there is nothing you can do to mentally prepare yourself. It is so mentally, physically, emotionally, creatively, spiritually draining, there are no words. It just fucks with you. You just get fucked. So just get ready to get mentally, physically, emotionally, creatively, spiritually drained and fucked.

What do you think of RuPaul's choice?

US PRESIDENT OBAMA ISSUES A GAY PRIDE MONTH PROCLAMATION

To honor LGBT Pride Month, US President Barack Obama released a proclamation.

The White House issued the statement on May 29th 2015.
It starts by connecting the fight for LGBTI equality with the country's history.

'Over the course of more than two centuries of striving and sacrifice, our country has expanded civil rights and enshrined equal protections into our Constitution,' the proclamation says. 'Through struggle and setback, we see a common trajectory toward a more free and just society.

'But we are also reminded that we are not truly equal until every person is afforded the same rights and opportunities -- that when one of us experiences discrimination, it affects all of us -- and that our journey is not complete until our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law.'

The president points to the highlights in his administration, from prohibiting federal contractors from discrimination based on sexual orientation to calls for a ban on conversion therapy.

'...I will keep calling on the Congress to pass legislation so that all Americans are covered by these protections, no matter where they work.'

Obama doesn't shy from the remaining work for the gay community: homelessness for LGBTI youth, supportive housing for  'older individuals,' and an update of the country's plan to address HIV/AIDS.

The statement ends with the following:

'...We celebrate the proud legacy LGBT individuals have woven into the fabric of our Nation, we honor those who have fought to perfect our Union, and we continue our work to build a society where every child grows up knowing that their country supports them, is proud of them, and has a place for them exactly as they are.'
